STEM Exploration: Spectroscopy

Join us as we dive into STEM exploration, gaining a broader understanding of how our natural world works. This month, we will explore what light is, the types of light emitted by the sun, how atoms are impacted by solar radiation, and how elements emit different colored lights. 

Students MUST be 12 years or older to participate. One adult may accompany each student, but must have valid museum admission and are participating in an observational capacity only. Student museum admission is included in the program cost. If you are a member, please be sure to login to receive your membership discount.

Appropriate lab attire, including long pants, closed toe shoes, and weather appropriate clothing, is required. Due to lab activities, students must be capable of navigating off-path terrain and be capable of kneeling, bending, squatting, ladder climbing, as needed for lab activity work.
