Wednesday October 1

Other dates...

1:00 PM  –  2:30 PM

Experience the world of conservation as we join our horticulture team on a native plant and pollinator exploration. Students will get the opportunity to learn how to identify native plants, explore what pollinators they need, and then will venture throughout the museum grounds to practice field identification skills, all under the guidance of our horticulture and education teams. Learn the ways in which these plants and pollinators help sustain healthy ecosystems, and how we can practice local native plant conservation!

Students MUST be 12 years or older to participate. One adult may accompany each student, but must have valid museum admission and are participating in an observational capacity only. Student and adult museum admission NOT included.

Appropriate lab attire, including long pants, closed toe shoes, and weather appropriate clothing, is required. Due to lab activities, students must be capable of navigating off-path terrain and be capable of kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting objects 25lbs or less, as needed for lab activity work.
